Dragana Petković - Klett EDU IMS program participant #persistant

Dragana is a food technician by profession. He has been with Gruner AG Serbia for 15 years and currently works as a maintenance technician. 
At Klett EDU in October 2022, she and her colleagues completed a three-month maintenance program for mechatronic systems. Her interest, perseverance and ambition was noticed by our lecturers. Encouraged by the support of the company Gruner Serbian doo, Dragana completed her retraining into a mechatronics technician, so that she could receive a 5th degree qualification at the Klett EDU Center on the Industrial Mechatronic - Specialist program, which began in September 2023.

Dragana won us over from the first moment with her immediacy, a clear vision of an exceptional young woman who knows how to make the right balance between family life and a successful career, in maintenance and mechatronics, which is not so characteristic of women. I asked her, "How do you do everything?" She replied, "That's why I'm #persistant!
This is her story about her choice of profession, working at Gruner, colleagues, education at Klett EDU training center and plans for further development:

It's always been important for me to achieve my most important areas - to start a family, but also to build a career. When I was finishing school, it wasn't popular for a woman to be part of a team where all men are. I believe that the Mechatronics is both the present and the future of every industry. We need to try different skills, not just the expected job selection. I wish more girls would be interested in this profession. Most of them go by some patterns. I'm not, and I'm glad that's the case. If everyone goes where the masses are, there is no prosperity. It may be harder, but it's much nicer when you stand out for something, and thereby meet your own and not the expectations of others!

At Gruner I work in the maintenance department and I am well accepted because I easily adapt to different environments and I love what I chose to do. I am really grateful to the company where I work because they invest in us employees in many ways and education is one of the most important to me. When I came to Klett EDU training center for the maintenance of mechatronic systems training program, everything captivated me and pulled me to want more. At Klett EDU, I am motivated by lecturers because they are not of a classic type, but are experienced professionals who know how to transfer knowledge with ease. The story didn't end there because the company supported me to enroll in the 5th degree program for Industrial Mechatronics Technician. For this program, I had to complete retraining, and Gruner additionally enabled me to obtain a license for an instructor in dual education.

I want to continue to improve in the field of mechatronics because I am here "on my own". Nothing is difficult for me in my work and something new always happens, because the industry is unpredictable with constant innovation.

We all need to know what we want, what our goal is, and to write our own rules.

Honestly, I don't plan on stopping.
