On Saturday 08.06.2024. Our program director Jelena Jakovljevic, an andragogist and trainer, held the first in a series of andragogic training modules for our lecturers, on the topic of Encouraging adults to learn.

The key question was what makes students (de)motivated to learn in adulthood? What is the emotional climate in our classrooms? What are (in)surmountable barriers for the participants?

At the beginning of the training, the lecturers stated that they had high expectations, which, as it turned out, were fulfilled. 😊 Worked all day in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. Through various workshops in which there was a lot of interaction, we achieved that the lecturers gained new knowledge and insight into how to manage the motivation of the participants and use it as a mechanism for improving achievement and changing behavior. Also, they were reminded how important it is to shape the environment and create such situations that are stimulating for learning. In the end, they became aware of ways to reduce or remove barriers for participants.

When asked about her personal impressions, Jelena told us that she really liked the definition that our lecturers always establish an exceptional relationship with the participants - intimate but with respect, which is the formula for the success of our Klett EDU training center.

The director of the Klett EDU training center, Olivera Gvozdenov, singled out for her impression how impressive it was to watch the open exchange of experience between the lecturers. She further confirmed to us that the application of additional knowledge will follow soon because new groups are open for our mechatronics and specialized German programs.
